Position: Promotions Manager

Purpose of the job:

The overall effective planning, co-ordination, communication, project management, execution and implementation of all marketing related, resort and casino promotions. Offering support to the VIP team and casino events.


 Grade 12

 Degree/National Diploma in Marketing or equivalent qualification will be advantageous.


 5 Years Casino experience

 2-3 years Marketing co-ordination experience with strong knowledge of GGB rules and regulations

Key performance areas:

 Update the resort marketing & gaming promotions calendar & project boards to ensure that all events, promotions or related marketing initiatives are accurately represented in terms of timing.

 Brief and oversee creative development, website updates, concept documents and any related marketing communication and collateral requirements

 Produce checklists, action lists and brief documents for all related initiatives and effectively circulate requirements to relevant departments and stakeholders

 Work closely with all relevant stakeholders in order to gather and process relevant information and action points to ensure overall smooth running of projects

 Generate post promotions analysis reports of guest attendance, casino play and all related assessments to ensure that learning’s are applied to achieve optimal results in future


 Ensure that all internal procedures are adhered to and the necessary briefing of all internal stakeholders is implemented timeously. This includes all accommodation booking, briefs, function sheets, transport, F&B and all related planning functions and cross communication between departments

 Review post analysis results from previous promotions and ensure that future promotions are planned based on learning’s and effective promotional mechanics to achieve optimal response and participation

 To ensure that all (not limited to) GGB, legal, advertising and company policies are adhered to in terms of promotional mechanics, approval processes and roll out.

 Make certain that all collateral and marketing material is produced and displayed a minimum of 4 weeks prior to promotions and removed on / or before the end date

 Submit Media and creative briefs to the relevant parties 6 weeks prior to required deadline date.

 Co-ordinate and effectively manage allocated budgets and financial administration for all related promotions

 Manage MC / Promotional Jockey rosters to ensure that shifts are allocated effectively (during optimal time periods)

 Schedule and run post analysis meetings after each event & promotion

 Compile a concept document and pro-forma for every promotion.
